With the Christmas coming soon here are some festive coding ideas for your club or for home.
micro: bit Christmas Decorations are a great idea for creating tree decorations using your micro: bits, cardboard, paint and obviously, this time of year, some glitter!
You can see how to make them via this video and the fantastically creative Boher Bytes OurKidsCode club made their own decorations during their latest MeetUp. Don’t they look amazing?! They have kindly provided their code for you to try. Their code played Christmas tunes but you could also combine with other MakeCode projects. For example ‘Blow out the candle’ project or adapting the ‘Shining Sunbeams’ project as it looks like stars.
There’s also a MakeCode Arcade game for anyone who would like to make a retro Christmas arcade game with a snowman.
Hope you have fun and let us know how you got on by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
Happy Christmas from the OurKidsCode team!
